I was given a free sample to critique of Lipton Mango Iced Tea. Although it taste really good...I am not a fan of the artificial ingredients and I wouldn't want my family drinking these. We will give them to those who may want them.

Days in India are coming to an end

I am going to be honest and say that as each day goes on I am getting extremely excited to come home. But don't worry I still have a focus.

Every S.E.N.D. team sets some kind of record. Ours is the most hospital visits. Last week was pretty rough. More than half of the team had some type of upset stomach/diarrhea problem. One team member had it for 10 days and then at 3:30 am on the 10th night she started to vomit. We took her to the hospital for an injection(that seems to be the rememdy for everything here. I had one when my fever was high 3 weeks ago). She was out for a few days. The timing of it was worth noting because that morning we were going to sing worship songs at a Hindu(ism) wedding ceremony and she has got the strongest and most beautiful voice.

Two days later Daniel went to the bathroom about 20 times in 24 hours. He was resting for hours in his bed and Jenaye went over to feel his forehead and he was burning up. So they took him to the hospital. He got an injection and they said his blood pressure was really low and because he was so dehydrated, he would have to be hooked up to an IV here at the church(we are living at). He was also out for a few days. Daniel is our preacher.

Now all is well. Romans 8:28 encourages me. EVERYTHING that happens works for our good if we love God and are in His will. I know that all the challenges I am facing on this trip are really growing me in ways that I never would have if I was comfortably at home. We have it so good in San Diego. I can count my blessings and fully appreciate being placed there.

Praise Reports:

~We are all doing well now, none of us our sick and it never got too severe

~There was an elderly lady who wasnt eating and couldnt walk because the pain in her knees. We went to her house and prayed healing over her and she is fine and walking around, praising the Lord.

~Our ministry here in Neyveli has been directed towards the church body and they are truly blessed by the things that God is saying to them through us.
Prayer Requests:
~God would be our strength to endure to the end

~Continue to treat eachother with love

~We will be traveling a lot these next two weeks. That he would energize us and protect us through it all.

~We are still in need of funds

Hi all

Last week was a scheduled R&R (Rest and Relaxation). It initiated our half way mark for the trip. We went to a coastal town called Kovalam. The weather was the same (hot and humid) but the ocean was a beautiful sight, reminding me of home. I got in the water and swam once and two of our guys got to go surfing. They said it was really rough. It was very nice to enjoy air conditioning and ice cream!
After that we went to a conference in Pondicherry for two days and we spoke twice a day to young women who were a mix of Christians and Hindus. They were very attentive and the translator assured us that many seeds were planted.
Three days ago we arrived in Neyveli where we will be spending the next 5 weeks. We believe that it will be very similar to how it was before; village outreaches and many house visits. The atmosphere is a bit different here. During church on Sunday we could feel more of the Holy Spirit amongst the people. They are very humble. I saw a 70 year old woman dance before the Lord.
Today we went to a pastors conference and us girls got to share with the wives and have personal, in depth conversations. It was very sweet because women here are very inhibited. Not one man was in the room so they were able to say what they felt. A few of them shared that their struggles were so difficult that they wanted to die; commit suicide. Without consulting one another, God put on all 5 of our hearts to speak about struggles and trials; and this was before we even met them. (I spoke on Romans 5:3-5)
Praise Reports:
~We have done a lot of traveling these past few days and He protected all of us the whole way.
~A few weeks prior we weren't sure about the R&R but someone donated $2300; the exact amount we needed for all 8 of us to go. We felt so blessed ~One of the team members had been praying for their brother in North Carolina to come to know God and get saved and we recently found out he did!
Prayer Requests:
~team morale: a few of us are growing weary with all of life's challenges. Pray for us to finish strong.
~Personal healing: My digestive system is messed up and brings hours of pain at a time. The physical pain is creating emotional struggles.
~funds: We are still financially short as a team and I personally still owe about $500. If it's on your heart to give or you know someone checks can be mailed to Send Ministries : 4052 Alto St, Oceanside, CA 92056. If you put my name in the memo they will know what team to send it to.
Thanks for taking the time. If you want prayer for anything E-mail me. I have lots of time dedicated to prayer.
Mallory
Greetings,
Last week was really emotional. I asked for more compassion for the people and He was faithful to answer. The translator called me over to pray for this young pregnant girl and he explained that if she doesn't have a boy, the husband won't let her keep it; for they already have two girls. She said she wanted to keep it no matter what because the child is a gift. I put my hand on her stomach and I broke down. I was touching a baby that might not be accepted after it is born. And afterward I saw the husband push her around quite roughly. It led me to fast that night out of desperation. I dont think I will ever see her again.
The following night we did house visits again in a different village. Every house we shared the gospel, everyone wanted to grasp on to the hope of Jesus. We were about to leave and for some reason our translator led us to this house out of the way. It was a family of 11 maybe. I shared the gospel and I asked if anyone wanted to pray to accept Christ. The father was the most doubtful but one teenage daughter said she did. So I asked her to come closer to me and repeat the prayer. When I start; the whole family ends up repeating the prayer. It felt awesome. When we left and went back to the bus our translator told us that he was blown away because that father at the last house was wearing the typical garments of a Hindu priest; a leader of Hinduism! Amazing. Pray for this man because he is for sure going to have some serious inner struggles!
This week will be our last week of ministry in Thiruvannamalai. We have been here for about 7 weeks. Satan is trying to stop us from going out with a bang. Two of our team members have fevers and the pastor we serve under is falling under some serious persecution. Coincidence? I think not. We are not going to let anything get in the way of Gods work this week.
Praise reports:~ We ran into some walls but people are still getting saved
~about $350 was sent in last week
~A dog ran off with my shoe in a village and a little boy got it back for me
~as a team we are still unified and in good spirits
Prayer requests: ~That God will provide financially for us to move on to the next city after this
week
~That the two sick girls on our team will continue to recover and not have to miss any outreaches
~please pray for our health and comfort
~for God to grow us and teach us and reveal mighty things to us everyday
Love you all,
Mallory

Dear friends and family,
Each week has its adventure. We were living in a home that was being rented and due to an inheritance issue the current owner came angrily and drunken to kick us "foreigners" out. He brought a few people with him and accused us of many made up and false things. Our overseer instructed us to get up and get into the van immediately and leave. Being verbally attacked in the van was a little scary. I was kind of in shock.
It took a few days for us to find a different house and we were kept from doing our normal outreach ministry in the villages. But the Enemy was not able to divide or shake us as a team. We instantly turned to God in prayer and worship. We all had peace. We prayed that God would have mercy on on tht man who was taken over by evil. He did not know what he was doing. He didn't persecute us. He offended and accused the living God. In Romans 12:19 it says to not avenge ourselves. God brings justice upon the matters that deserve it. I thank God that He gives us the opportunity to partake in peace within our hearts instead of anger and stress. We just need to look to Him for that; and thats the hard part ;-)
Praise Reports:
~God is showing himself to some through healings
~All of us our healthy and able to do ministry every night
~God brought our team about $700 dollars last week. Our leader Liz was fasting for finances during that time :-)
Prayer Requests:
~That God would show himself clearly to the people in the villages despite the language barrier.
~Its starting to get to the point that all of us team members are really getting to know eachtother. Pray that we will be like Jesus towards one another.
~Finances. We still have not met our budgetary goal.
Thanks for taking the time to read about our current matters! Thanks for your prayers.

With love, Mallory

Beautiful Fruit

Vanakkum!
Wow now that we have started to reach out to the southern villages, time is flying by. Every other day Tues-Sat we go to a new village. The first night is dramas, worship, dancing, testimonies and preaching and then the 2nd night we split up into pairs and and go to several houses and share the story of Jesus in detail and get to know individual families on a personal level. Every time we do it, its different, never dull. There is always fruit! At least one person always raises their hand and chooses to believe in God and wants Him in their hearts. The first time I saw it happen I was brought to tears. I have never been a part of something like that.
We spend a lot of time traveling in this little van, and at night after outreach, we are so tired and delirious that we do share some really funny moments. Its a good bonding time.
Monday was our day off and we went to this beach city called Pondicherry. The Bay of Bengal was warm so I ran in. The tide was pretty strong, but it was fun to swim. I was trying to get out and I got distracted by the seashells, so I am facing the shore shouting at my team mates that I am going to look for some and this crazy fast and strong wave came underneath me and knocked me on my butt. It was so funny! I landed on water so there was no pain involved. Well I love and miss you all. Take good care of yourself!
Mallory
Prayer Requests:
-That the Holy Spirit would stir in the peoples hearts
- We would be given the energy and endurance to keep going strong
-I would be comfortable and have a positive attitude.
-Finances would come in so that we don't have to have that in the back of our minds, and so we would be able to stay for the whole 5 months.

First update from India

Hey loved ones! I miss you all. We have been here for maybe a week and a half. There was a lot of spiritual warfare at first. One of our team members got very sick when we entered a dark city (Tiruvannamalai, India). It caused us to regain our focus because it was quite shocking and we went straight to the Lord with it. God has us all in his hands and she is better than ever now. The food is awesome. We are stying in the bishops home that we are woking with and he has someone cooking all of our meals. There is curry, rice, crispy tortilla things, fruit, vegetables, awesome potato dishes...yeah I am being well fed. Oh Chai tea is sooo good. Especially when it has a lot of sugar! The weather is hot and sticky all the time. I always look and feel pretty grose. I am starting to get used to it.

Yesterday was an adventure. We drove about an hour out of town to this really cool park that was also a dam. We had a lesson and worship out in the open. There were wild monkeys just living there. Almost stole Liz's bag. So cool to just see them in their natural habitat, not in a zoo. We fit 11 people into an 8 passenger van. Thats how they do it here. They cram into the little rickshas and buses.

As ministry goes, we went to church on Sunday. Daniel gave the message and I shared my testimony. We are trying to get permission from village heads to go in and spend time with the people. Today we are going to the temple of Tiruvannamalai ( a Hindu one) that has been here for 2500 years. Every year 15 million people come here at the end of the year and walk around the mountain to please the fire god. And then they light the top on fire.. Some people walk daily. On that path there are sooo many shrines and little worship temples. So yeah, today we are going and we are going to do a prayer walk. We think it is going to be powerful. Well I will leave you with that for now. Email me questions or comments if you have any. With love,

Mallory
