First update from India

Hey loved ones! I miss you all. We have been here for maybe a week and a half. There was a lot of spiritual warfare at first. One of our team members got very sick when we entered a dark city (Tiruvannamalai, India). It caused us to regain our focus because it was quite shocking and we went straight to the Lord with it. God has us all in his hands and she is better than ever now. The food is awesome. We are stying in the bishops home that we are woking with and he has someone cooking all of our meals. There is curry, rice, crispy tortilla things, fruit, vegetables, awesome potato dishes...yeah I am being well fed. Oh Chai tea is sooo good. Especially when it has a lot of sugar! The weather is hot and sticky all the time. I always look and feel pretty grose. I am starting to get used to it.

Yesterday was an adventure. We drove about an hour out of town to this really cool park that was also a dam. We had a lesson and worship out in the open. There were wild monkeys just living there. Almost stole Liz's bag. So cool to just see them in their natural habitat, not in a zoo. We fit 11 people into an 8 passenger van. Thats how they do it here. They cram into the little rickshas and buses.

As ministry goes, we went to church on Sunday. Daniel gave the message and I shared my testimony. We are trying to get permission from village heads to go in and spend time with the people. Today we are going to the temple of Tiruvannamalai ( a Hindu one) that has been here for 2500 years. Every year 15 million people come here at the end of the year and walk around the mountain to please the fire god. And then they light the top on fire.. Some people walk daily. On that path there are sooo many shrines and little worship temples. So yeah, today we are going and we are going to do a prayer walk. We think it is going to be powerful. Well I will leave you with that for now. Email me questions or comments if you have any. With love,

Mallory
